Professional soccer player Megan Rapinoe told reporters at the 2023 Women’s World Cup media day for the United States Women’s National Team in Carson, California Tuesday that this year’s competition was an opportunity for great sponsorship. Rapinoe said businesses opting not to invest in this year’s Women’s World Cup were “missing out on a massive cultural moment in so many ways.”
