Part Eight: The Rise and Fall (and rise and fall) of "The Makeover Guy®"

I don't know why in the midst of it all we decided to buy a house. I was sure I'd only live downtown Minneapolis in a condo. We were settled and since we had gotten such a great price in 1992, selling it in 2001 at the peak of a seller's market would mean a good profit. But that also meant buying the house I wanted was financially impossible.Show more

Then one day we decided to check out a house that seemed to have what I was looking for. It was out of our price range. But I couldn't sleep having decorated it a million times in my head. We went back the next day and the price had dropped to JUST in our price range. We just took a leap of faith.

It has turned out to be a great place, but it has been constant and never ending work. Yet, we've enjoyed a thousand great memories here in the past 22 years.
