We Arise

[Transitional Times Poem Collection] -
We Arise is a poem about ‘realisation’ and the scorn that may be created in it’s wake …. alluding to some of the issues and the possible feelings emerging. We live in hope!!

Written 12th January 2023, this creation falls into my 'Transitional Times' poem category which contains 'a variety of Motivational and Commentary poems exploring issues of the time'.

Poem wording -

We Arise

Brain activity, proclivity.
Leading to production, no more mystery.
Endless rhymes, flowing chimes,
relating to our ‘trying times’.
Visions of memes and mimes.
All acted out of vision – to shout,
“Get on” or “Get Out”.
Let us leave you in no doubt.

Your greed and indifference,
leaves lip curling distaste.
You, our Nation, led towards disgrace.
You deface, with your de facto decrees.
You lie with ease.
You are a disease.

Now desist, or meet your demise.
We’ve seen you and we despise.

We Arise.

Go meet whatever maker -
you think you revere – good cheer.
We can see you – loud and clear.
Get you away from us – don’t be near.
We have awoken and we have no fear.

So hear. Take your agendas and flee.
You are now dismissed – history.
