Two suspects were arrested and are facing multiple charges, the Lee County Sheriff said, after a pedestrian was hit and a car flipped during a street racer gathering in Fort Myers, Florida on June 25th. The Lee County Sheriff’s Office stated that Mateo Gonzalez Juan was behind the wheel when a pedestrian was hit in the parking lot of a Target. Aerial video then shows the car fleeing at “dangerously high speeds” before it flips. Gonzalez Juan has been charged with “street racing, fleeing and eluding, [and] reckless driving,” the sheriff’s office said. The passenger, Erik De Anda, was also arrested for his alleged “involvement in street racing,” the sheriff’s office said. Credit: Lee County Sheriff via Storyful
