Halloween Clown Skulls - Cute, or Total Fail?

😜 OK, these clown skulls weren't my greatest idea, but maybe you can think of a way to make them work a little better. I have to admit that I was pretty impressed by how well the crackle effect worked - with just a coat of white acrylic paint brushed over wet Elmer's glue. I might end up using that again, someday.

And I did like the skulls before painting the clown faces on them, and I can paint them again so they weren't a total loss. :)

If you want to make more realistic skulls, you might be able to find some Styrofoam skulls at Walmart or your local craft store, and cover them with a thin layer of paper mache clay. If you'd like to use my skull-shaped face sculpting form, you can find the pattern and videos here: https://www.ultimatepapermache.com/face-sculpting-form

And if you're wondering where I got the Golden Acrylic Glazing Liquid that I talked about in the video, I bought it from Amazon.com here. https://amzn.to/3EkWqsJ (affiliate link)

You can find patterns for all those masks and sculptures behind me in the video, and many more, at https://www.ultimatepapermache.com/patterns

And you can show off your own Halloween projects here: https://www.ultimatepapermache.com/daily-sculptors-group-page

Now, if you have ideas for easy Halloween decorations or masks, be sure to share them below. And do tell me - is there any way I could have made these silly clown skulls work? 🤡
