Boar Goat Sculpture Starting Over

http://www.UltimatePaperMache.com I started my Boer goat sculpture last week, and now I'm starting over. It turns out that I don't like working with the foil for the armature on larger sculptures, although I did like using it for the squirrel and the unicorn I kept wanted to move the foil after it was glued on, and that's really hard to do.

So I started over, and that gave me the opportunity to start where I should have in the first place - with the skull. I can't give you a link to the skull I'm using for a model, because etsy.com links don't last very long. But you can just do a Google image search and find on. The fake skull was made out of foil, which my eyeballs can't see very well, so I covered it with plaster cloth. I could have achieved the same result by covering it with masking tape, but I left my tape in the garage and it froze. Now I can't get the tape off the roll - I guess you're not supposed to let it get so cold.

The skull I used as a model had a longer face than the photos I'm using for my doe, but that doesn't matter. I just shortened everything. Every goat's face is a little different. I guess we'll find out if this was a good idea after the clay sculpt is done.
