I hope you can see that I took more time to paint this lion mask than I did on the first one. It's the same pattern, but they look really different. I used the same colors I used before, but I also used much smaller brushes and many more layers. It was painted just like I painted the wolf mask, as a matter of fact, using a photo I found online as the model because the lion in the photo had a mane the same color as the raffia I wanted to use for my lion's mane. I just now found a very inspiring video showing a very colorful lion being painted by a mom and her toddler - it sounds crazy, but it worked really well. (And a lion painted that way could have a really crazy mane, too - maybe strips of multi-colored ribbon or fabric.
