This is Part 5 of a series for making a paper mache dog - a Basset Hound. I added the face to the armature with aluminum foil. Unfortunately, it's hard to see the shapes of the crumpled foil on the video, but it will be a lot easier when we start adding the paper mache clay in the next video.

You can find the free pattern for the Basset Hound here: https://www.ultimatepapermache.com/bassethound

There's a dachshund in my book Make Animal Sculptures with Paper Mache Clay. If you'd like to see all the steps for making a dog sculpture with crumpled paper and masking tape instead of foil, you can find the book here: http://amzn.to/1nMUO3a

For this part of the project you'll need:

Newspaper and masking tape, or aluminum foil and a hot glue gun. I used foil this time because it's a lot easier when working on small bits like toes - but you can also use paper and masking tape, along with a little bit of patience.

We're using the same methods in this project that I used in my book Make Animal Sculptures with Paper Mache Clay, but in that book I don't use any foil at all. All the projects are made with cardboard patterns, crumpled paper and masking tape, and paper mache clay.
