Dragon Head Pattern for Paper Mache

I've been working on the pattern and instructions for a paper mache dragon head for over a month, and it's finally done. If you'd like to make a dragon with my pattern, you can download it here: https://www.ultimatepapermache.com/dragon-pattern

If you visit that page you can also see videos for putting all the pattern pieces together, how to make custom horns and spikes, and how to add paper strips and paste to the dragon, in case you'd like to do it that way instead of using paper mache clay. You can also watch my video that shows you how to make optional scales using my DIY silky-smooth air dry clay recipe.

The dragon isn't hard to make, but be sure to give yourself plenty of time if you're making one for a present. There are quite a few pieces to cut out and tape together, and paper mache takes time to dry.

In today's video, I'll show you how I painted my white dragon, but I'm also sharing a great idea I got from my daughter, Jessie Rasche. She has an easy way to decide what colors and color patterns you want to use for your dragon before you actually start painting it. I intend to use her method when I paint my next dragon.

I can't decide if I want my next dragon to be all red and white, or if I'll paint him with the beautiful greens and blues on the Chinese water dragon lizard. It's easy to make another one, because I can just cut out the pieces and tape them together - so maybe I can make a green on and a red one... Why not? 😊

🐲 If you make a dragon with this pattern, I'd love to see it. So would the regular visitors to my website, so please come back to my site and show it off on the Daily Sculptors page. https://www.ultimatepapermache.com/daily-sculptors-group-page
