The House of Representatives failed to override President Biden’s veto on a bill aimed at blocking his student loan debt cancellation plan. Republicans argued that forgiving up to $20,000 in loans would cost taxpayers $400 billion. Despite passing the Congressional Review Act resolution, House Republicans didn't get enough support to overturn Biden's veto.
