Toronto-born, Mississauga raised Hip-Hop/R&B artist SYPH released his debut mixtape Rookie of the Year in 2015 featuring Roc Nation’s Belly and fellow Toronto-native Tory Lanez amongst others. Rookie of the Year received spotlight attention from HotNewHipHop, HipHopDX and Karen Civil amongst others while breaking the one-million stream/download mark. This year, he’ll follow-up with his project called I Had To releasing in March featuring guest spots from Tory Lanez, Zoey Dollaz, Pressa, Don Q, Hoodrich Pablo Juan and Tracy T.
In this new visual SYPH teams with fellow Toronto rapper Pressa for their new single “Marilyn Monroe.” The Pilot Industries directed visual filmed in their hometown has Pressa delivering a melodic hook while SYPH flows over the Money Muzik produced track. The song follows SYPH’s previous single “Get The Bag 2” featuring Bay Area rapper Philthy Rich that premiered last month.
