Thunderstorms move toward mid-Atlantic states, satellite images show

The thunderstorms that battered the midwest over the weekend were moving towards the East Coast on Monday, June 26, according to satellite imagery by the Cooperative Institute for Research in the Atmosphere (CIRA). Thunderstorms were expected in Pennsylvania, Maryland, and the Carolinas, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).
