North Carolina (NC) House Speaker Tim Moore has been sued by a fellow Republican and a local government employee Scott Lassiter who is the legal husband now estranged from another government employee Jamie Lassiter.

The lawsuit pertains to numerous legal claims, including but not limited to Alienation of Affection and Criminal Conversation laws that are unique to NC. Only 6 States in the nation have these types of laws on the books.
