Ten A-10 Warthogs have been deployed to Europe, worrying Russia

In support of the Army-led DEFENDER 2023 exercise, ten A-10s and numerous Airmen deployed to Europe this week, and nine additional mobility aircraft will do the same in the upcoming weeks.

The 442nd Fighter Wing of the Air Force Reserve's A-10s are split between Zaragosa Air Base in Spain and Thessaloniki Air Base in Greece for the exercise, which aims to increase readiness and interoperability between the United States and its NATO allies.
