This is some fun captured with Shawn's Blade 350 QX Quadcopter BNF With SAFE Technology and FPV GB200 Gimbal at the center of things.

It has a lot of cool features like Smart Mode, Stability Mode, and Aerial Photography (AP) Mode. Each mode allows it to perform optimally for a desired purpose. It even has a return to home function that is demonstrated in the video while he keeps track of it via FPV Flight. He does that when he goes out a ways into the field with this bad ass RC aircraft.

While in Smart mode, SAFE technology engages the innovative SAFE Circle™ which prevents the 350 QX from flying too close to its pilot. When in a hover, GPS and altimeter sensors keep the quadcopter in a consistent stable position. The stick relativity feature allows the Blade 350 QX Drone to follow the directional inputs from a pilot regardless of the orientation of the quadcopter.

In Stability Mode, SAFE technology limits the flight envelope of the 350 QX and enables self-leveling characteristics for consistent level flight even when pilot input is abruptly removed from the control sticks. In Stability Mode, GPS Position Hold is active when the pilot stops providing stick input.

Aerial Photography mode gives the 350 QX softer self-leveling characterisitcs to ensure the best footage possible from the onboard camera. AP mode also activates position holding capablilities allowing the 350 QX to lock into a desired GPS and altitude when the sticks are released.

This was a lot of fun even though I am used to watching John fly his DJI F450 Quadcopter, his Mogo 250 Mini H FPV Quad or his Blade Nano QX all of the time. It was awesome to see Shawn fly around with crazy stability and climb way up into the sky while we cracked jokes. At first, I wasn't sure if this was the Blade 350QX, the Blade 350 QX2, or the Blade 350 QX3. Shawn confirmed for me that it is the first version of the three. Even before that confirmation I knew is was the QX and not the XQ lol

This quad copter is not a home built quad and it may be large enough for quadcopter fishing for small to medium size fish. I hope him and John make a quadcopter FPV video of them fishing with his 350 QX and John's DJI F450 Quad. Even though it is done with quadcopters, some people still insist on calling that RC helicopter fishing or RC heli fishing. It wouldn't surprise me if John got a DJI F550 hexacopter at some point too, which would be even better for this application.

In addition, some people may call these aircraft multi-rotor, multirotor or quadrotor helicopters. All I know is they are pretty cool. I hope someday to get enough practice to be good enough at flying quads like one of these big bad boys! One day I may get into FPV flying like this with either an FPV tricopter or FPV quadcopter. I am guessing a quad it most likely, but who knows!

If you don't know what FPV stands for it is First Person View. That means you get to see what it is like on the vehicle, which was how Shawn was flying it part of the time to get a better look at things.

One final note: I was so inspired by this flight and that of my buddy Bill's 350 quad that I have ventured into the quadcopter space a little deeper. My most recent purchase was the Blade Inductrix Ultra Micro Drone and it is cool! Soon I will be ready for a big boy like this one :)

I hope you enjoy this video and please like, comment and subscribe if you do :)
