This video shows a sunny Fall day flight and crash with my E-Flite UMX Habu 180 DF Ultra Micro BNF with AS3X Technology. John my flying mentor kindly recorded this for my with my Sony Handycam.

This flight shows clips of a flight I made yesterday just as the sun was poking out after about a week and a half of steady rain and wind. This was the first time in about 10 months that I took out Habu UMX for a flight. I had fun with my little UMX Habu until I tried my landing again after a subpar landing, which resulted in the UMX Habu crash shown at the end of this video. It busted up the nose and took another chunk out of the main wing by the aileron.

Between this and the E-Flite UMX Mig-15 DF, I am very impressed with what Horizon Hobby has been able to produce on the EDF jet front. I hear the Great Planes Model Manufacturing company did a good job with the F-86 Sabre aka Sabrejet as well. I have yet to fly it and as cool as it looks, it is not as cool looking as this mini Habu EDF jet, at least according to my Girlfriend.

While this is not modeled after a real fighter jet, it still looks and flies very much like a real jet! It does have the same shape and look as the Habu 32 and the Habu 2, but its colors and size are very different.

This is what Horizon Hobby has to say about the E-Flite Habu or E-Flite UMX Habu or Habu EDF or Mini Habu as I like to call it.

Important Note: The plane in this video is NOT the UMX Habu S with the SAFE System. That is brand new and has a different paint scheme. This is also not a plane that flies like the E-flite UMX Pitts or the E-flite UMX B-17 since this has a ducted fan instead of props for thrust.

"The E-flite® UMX™ Habu DF is a high-performance jet experience you can enjoy from the convenience of a backyard. Modeled after the popular ParkZone Habu EDF sport jet, you get a sharp looking hotrod that's been custom engineered to deliver impressive maneuverability at a variety of speeds and the agility to hold almost any attitude. At its core is breakthrough ultra-micro electric ducted fan technology featuring inlet and exhaust ducting expressly engineered to harness the full potential of the high-speed 28mm Delta-V® 180m brushless DF BNF system. The best part of all is the surprisingly rock-solid handling and control feel provided by its AS3X® system. No matter how you choose to fly, AS3X technology provides smooth, natural feeling control while battling many of the bumps and wiggles caused by wind and turbulence. So if it's goose bumps you want, this jet will help you get them fast.

The UMX Habu DF 180m BNF Basic can be ready for its first flight in minutes."

Here is what it says about the UMX Mig-15:

"The E-flite® UMX™ MiG 15 DF aircraft is a 4-channel breakthrough in ultra micro electric ducted fan technology. Based on the swept-wing jet fighter that launched aerospace into a new performance realm, E-flite expertise brings an RC ducted fan with true jet performance you can fly almost anywhere. Its appearance is stunning with crisp scale features, like a near exact outline, cockpit interior and surface details as authentic as they get. Its DSMX® control system offers the utmost in precision, plus the versatility of a full working rudder and proportional nose wheel steering. To make every flight rock solid, the onboard AS3X® System will have you believing that you're at the controls of a Giant-Scale model, even in moderate winds."

UMX MiG and the UMX Habu Micro or UM Habu are great RC Jets planes that are fun to fly.
