Parkzone Icon A5 with Water Take off and Water Landing

This video was shot of my buddy Shawn flying his second attempt at owning a Parkzone Icon A5. This time is a Full-Sized version. The first attempt was with the Parkzone Ultra Micro Icon A5 Float Plane and if you watch the video footage captured with my Sony Handycam, you will see an RC Plane Crash or two:

This is also one he bought in the classifieds, but this one flew really well on and off the water with a nice water landing at the end. Shawn redeemed himself as a pretty good RC pilot in this video for those that doubted him. I was really confused about how poorly that other plane flew compared to my Ultra Micro P-51 Mustang, which also has AS3X Technology. Anyhow, he has had a ton of fun with this plane so far and I am happy about that. This is also the same location where I shot a video not that long ago of John flying his E-flite P-51 Mustang and where that hot rod burned rubber at the end of my Parkzone Sport Cub video.

Horizon Hobby has this write-up of on the web page it used to sell it on:

"Its distinctive blend of advanced composite construction and luxury sports car amenities has earned it numerous awards for innovative design, both inside and outside the aviation world.

Now you can experience the fun of flying an ICON A5 with this officially licensed ParkZone® replica that's been designed in cooperation with ICON Aircraft. Along with a near-perfect scale outline and realistic trim scheme, it features a special hull design that makes water takeoffs and landings remarkably easy to master. Add the optional light set (sold separately), and you will really have a one-of-a-kind park flyer that will grab attention wherever you fly it."
