This is Bill's E-flite V900 BNF Basic Maiden Flight RC Plane Crash. This is a pretty cool plane and we were lucky enough to have John of John's VHRC joining us for this flight.

Bill is a free spirit that loves to test planes in flight. As a result, this is not his only crash landing. He is always quick to help someone out and use his strong radio background to help you figure out issues you may be having with your RC gear. This flight was performed using a 3S 2200 pack and was surprisingly quick on only 3S! In hindsight we should have made sure Bill had SAFE Select setup correctly on his radio as it can be a little tricky.

AS3X Receiver with Optional SAFE Select Technology
This Bind-N-Fly Basic model is equipped with an AS3X (Artificial Stabilization–3-aXis) receiver that works behind the scenes to smooth out the effects of wind and turbulence. If this is your first high-speed airplane or you want an extra margin of safety while familiarizing yourself with the airplane, you can enable the optional-use SAFE Select technology built into the receiver. Pitch and Bank Angle Limits

John has the HobbyKing Durafly EFX Racer, which compares very nicely to the V900. Once Bill gets the hang of this one, it will be fun to see them racing side by side :)

I have considered getting one of these myself, but ended up going after the E-flite Pitts instead. Perhaps I might get one of these after I get an E-flite F-16 or that new E-flite P39 lol
