In this video I answer the question Can You Get Usable Power from a Permanent Magnet Motor. There are several videos on youtube on this subject, But most of them are either wrong or just false. The short answer is both yes and no, because it requires the motor to spin at such a fast rate that most people can not keep up with the required speed to make it work. I test this with my 12 Volt Cordless drill and my Corded Drill. This is the same motor that I used for my bike generator. Will it work on a bike generator ?. Once again the answer is both yes and no. I show you how fast that you will need to turn this to get Any Usable Power. I myself replaced this with a low rpm alternator for my bike generator. Given enough speed and time this would work for charging batteries and or charging things like my Portable DVD Player.
