Tinkering with bridge plate protection block I added behind an aged and sinking original bridge plate.
Have to get to frets eventually. Seein how much i can learn and do on my own for it.
Customized the very faded pick guard with some designs that maintained the original theme.
Had direly deeply wanted another korean ej 200 epi since dumbly trading one away nearly a decade or so back.
Found one in decent enough condition.
Had a shorter headstock than later versions that changed from out of korea production, liking that a lot. Lots of little minimal changes throughout if you look and compare the newer epis of this kind.

Main thing is no side cut on treble side.
Wood construction is very nice too and i can swear this is actually a solid top when i check paint wear marks near the sound hole. But people and specs and epiphone themselves seem to say and swear its a laminated top. Or select spruce fo be more accurate.
Doesnt sound, seem, or look so to me.
Also this one to my ears and memory sounds not just as good, but better than my all black epiphone 90s korean production model that i mentioned missing very much and regretted trading.
Its original case was badass and preferred to over the newer mega bulky epiphone ej cases.
Keeping a look and hunt out for those if ever ever up for listings.
It's like a soul relief in a little wiley way to have this guitar type again.
My Alvarez beginner guitar, AD30, sounds just as good or better to be honest or frank about it but for certain song writing and song style this body shape and noncut kind of guitar hones something in that i can hopefully demonstrate in recordings.

The ej200 sce(Solid(top), Cutaway, Electronics), also, which were Samick Indonesia factory, is a very nice guitar, just behind the sound quality of the 90s Korean ej200 sound.
But you'd want the type with eSonic stereo pickup. They reintroduced Inspired By Gibson lines which are all wood and sound wonderful but are priced quite up there in comparison.

Thus my obsession with budget guitars and their tones and tinkering about with them.
It feels fine indeed to have and take care of and be able to play a 90s ej200 again!
