Miami protests against DeSantis' controversial immigration law

Immigrants took to Miami streets to protest against Florida governor Ron DeSantis’ new law that purportedly combats illegal immigration.

The demonstrators, some of them wearing traditional clothes, walked with flags, signs and banners, chanting 'United people will never be defeated.'

The new law, which reportedly takes effect on July 1, would punish company owners for employing illegal immigrants, and would toughen penalties for human smuggling.
