Rycotewood Furniture Centre Show - 2016

A selection of students work on display at the Rycotewood end of year show.

Rycotewood is a Furniture School in Oxford that teaches from City and Guilds Levels 1,2 and 3 all the way to a BA Honours Degree in Furniture: Design and Make.

The workshop is situated on the City Of Oxford College campus, however, the degree is provided by Oxford Brookes as of September, 2016. Previously, it was provided by Bucks New University in High Wycombe. However, for various reasons the course had to be discontinued.

The end of year show is free to enter and is held around a similar time each year. Private views are held on the Monday of the chosen week and public viewing is open from Tuesday to Friday.

My name is Matt Estlea and I’m a Woodworker from Basingstoke, England. My aim is to make your woodworking less s***.

I come from 5 years of TRAINING at Rycotewood Furniture Centre in Oxford, 5 years of experience WORKING at Axminster Tools and Machinery in Basingstoke, and 3 years TEACHING both day classes and evening classes at Rycotewood Furniture Centre. All while trying to get this YouTube thing off the ground.

By September 2021, I packed it all in to focus on YouTube and my business full-time.
