Pillars of Eternity 1: Character Creation to Meeting the Priest

Pillars was recommended to me as a better spiritual successor to Neverwinter Nights/Baldur's Gate than Sword Coast Legends. I do like the lack of proficiencies required for armor and weapons, though the talents that boost Accuracy feel like defacto proficiencies. The voice acting is surprisingly good, same with the music. Remember the game released in 2015, so even the graphics are fine. But, I'm not a huge graphics person and I grade fairly easily. Combat felt very micro-heavy, but I made the mistake of assuming the AI button having the green swirl meant it was on.

We've got four characters at this point. Darimere is going to be a ranged damage dealer and crowd control, using a gun once we can find one to equip. Aloth will be a more traditional AoE wizard. Eder is a standard tank, while Durance is going to be a team buffer.

I will say that so far, this was an enjoyable experience. I did maybe make a few too many attempts on the bears. Anyway, to the time stamps. I'll put the link to the Sword Coast Legends playlist at the end of the video. I originally did try to edit that one part out where we take a brief intermission, but then YouTube hung up forever editing it. So, no more intermissions or editing.
