Posture Mistake!

Although “pulling your shoulders back” and “turning your chest up” are both good cues for activating the muscles that will hold you in a better posture - targeting the muscles that extend your upper back (turn your chest up) is the foundation of an improved upper back posture and typically more important than retracting your shoulder blades (pull your shoulders back. It’s important to understand that these two cues target completely different muscles with different functions.
