The episode begins with the Roughnecks, a specialized unit of the Mobile Infantry, receiving orders to launch a mission to Pluto, where the Bugs have started to launch massive attacks on Earth’s outermost colonies. Despite knowing the immense danger involved, they eagerly accept the mission, fueled by their unwavering patriotism and commitment to protect their fellow citizens.

Upon arrival at Pluto, the Roughnecks quickly find themselves vastly outnumbered and outgunned by the swarms of Bugs. Despite their superior technology and weaponry, they have to fight tooth and nail to push back the alien horde and establish a beachhead on the frigid, inhospitable terrain.
