I thought my stuff wasn’t good enough to open an Etsy shop

I was scared to death to open my Etsy shop.

I did not think I was good enough. I waited 4 years before I actually took the leap and opened one.

And my stuff wasn’t good. I made amigurumi with an h hook. It was sloppy and hole-y. But they were only like $10-$12. My prices reflected my skill and the age of my business.

But guess what. Other people, non-crocheters, thought it was awesome. They thought they were very well made and were super cool.

And now I have much nicer looking pieces, my prices reflect my skill and the age of my business , and so many doors were opened for me just because I took the leap. I did it even though I was scared.

Not only we’re doors opened but confidence was created, relationships were built, education was learned and changes were made. And now I have a business that is one of the best parts of my life.

All because 2016 Ashley did something even though she was scared. I’m grateful for her. I’m grateful for her courage and willingness to learn.

Don’t compare your beginning to someone else’s middle friend. You can do hard things. Future you will be so grateful.

If you found this post helpful or encouraging share it with a friend. Spread that feeling around like confetti!
