One of the hardest things about running a crochet business is getting photos of your makes on models or as lifestyle shots. Depending on what you sell, you may not have the resources for the best pics.

Like if you sell toddler crop tops but you don’t have a toddler. Or if you sell farmhouse home decor and your house isn’t “farmhouse” aesthetic.

This tip is going to change your life.

If you need pics of your product, reach out to someone who can take them for you! Sell toddler things and have a mom friend with a toddler that happens to have an eye for photos? Ask her if she’d be willing to take some photos for you in exchange for free product.

Bonus points if shell also give you a shout-out on insta!

It can be a friend, family member, influencer or just a stranger off the internet! And if they say no... no problem! Move on to the next person.

There are risks involved. The person may ghost you and never take pics. That happens and it’s just part of the world we live in, unfortunately. So keep that in mind and dont let it wreck your day if it happens to you. The benefit of having stellar branded photos and a shout-out outweighs the risk of getting ghosted.

The pic I have of the beautiful blond wearing a linen Claire Bun Beanie... yeah that was taken because I asked the prettiest girl in our town if she wanted to exchange pic for product.

That one picture changed my life. It went viral. I got THOUSANDS of sales. Seriously. The benefit outweighs the risk!

I hope this tip was helpful. Don’t be shy or embarrassed to ask people. You’re building something amazing, be proud of your product and your hard work!
