- This is a selection of the band's greatest hits from all their albums.
- Creedence Clearwater Revival is an American rock, blues rock band with country influences, from El Cerrito north of San Francisco Bay.
Formed in 1958 by songwriter, singer and guitarist John Fogerty, drummer Doug Clifford, bassist Stu Cook, all students of El Cerrito High School and soon joined by John's older brother, Tom Fogerty, he first took the name of the Blue Velvets then the Golliwogs, before revealing himself in 1967 with the album Creedence Clearwater Revival.
When it broke up in 1972, Creedence Clearwater Revival left its mark on rock history. Global hits like Have You Ever Seen the Rain?, Born on the Bayou, Proud Mary, Green River or Fortunate Son are still part of the "five hundred songs that shaped rock n'roll", six of the seven albums (at except Mardi Gras) and the various compilations are still popular and are now certified platinum.
