On the eve of the Quebec national holiday of Saint Jean Baptiste, many English speakers, let alone ethnics, feel less and less welcome in Quebec. For nearly a century, the notion of pitting the English community as the enemy has worked to get politicians elected and to distort the truth. Even well-educated, bilingual francophones support the laws that minimize, let alone nearly eliminate, English in Quebec society. Home is no longer home and the question is - are we to leave?
