Embarking on my first gardening experience without assistance is a transformative experience, one that I found surprisingly meditative . Tenderly, I water each of them and nurture them with acre and attention . I prune their leaves . Working with the soil became a ritual , as I enriched it with nutrients , ensuring a healthy environment for my leafy companions to grow . I pluck out the stubborn weeds ( another ritual) . Just like babies they demand unwavering attention , and in return , they reward me with their vibrant beauty and therapeutic tranquility .
This reminds of the parable in Luke 13:6-7. Gardening a truly a source of reflection and learning for the parable Jesus told about gardens , gardeners , good and bad soil . This activity is teaching me a lot.
