THE TOREE DELLA PELOSA

The tower is located 3 meters above sea level and has a height of 10 meters. It was built in the medieval age to control the Asinara strait and was in visual contact with the nearby towers of Isola Piana and Capo Falcone.

The Pelosa Tower, in fact, is located on a small islet located right between the Isola Piana and Capo Falcone, at the entrance to the Asinara strait.

It is part of the complex of fortified structures which until the mid-nineteenth century constituted the defensive, sighting and communication system of the Sardinian coastal belt.
