BFGC - Jun 18, 2023 Sacrificial Covering

God's Word paints pictures for us that can show us what He wants us to know about Himself, or other topics in the Bible, regardless of what language we read or speak. The English word created by William Tyndale for the process whereby those trusting in Yehovah are given the free gift of access to His presence, is the word Atonement. Atonement means to be "At One With" or in agreement with God. That word in OT Hebrew is sometimes translated as "Mercy Seat" or sacrificial covering, a place of Holiness and safety. When spirit filled believers place their trust in Yehovah and accept His free offer of atonement, the blood of Yeshua is applied to their life as that protective covering that keeps them safe in the presence of Yehovah. The promise of eternal life in the presence of Yehovah, is only made possible through the protective covering that Yeshua gave to us through the shedding of His Blood on the cross.
