“Pistachio” 5y/o Large Pony Gelding FOR SALE

“Pistachio” is a 5y/o 14.1 1/2hh sport pony gelding. Started under saddle with R+ and has a great foundation, very good attitude towards work and loves being around humans. While he is still green, he has an excellent temperament and is extremely brave and sensible. Barefoot with great feet, no health issues, easy keeper and all in all easy and reliable guy.

Hacks out alone or with friends, forward and brave whether he’s completely alone or with a buddy. Has done mountain trails, ridden along roadways, through train tunnels, drive thrus etc with my amateur mom and has kept her completely safe. Has been ponied off of and has been ponied himself.

Nothing seems to bother this pony, he’s game for just about anything and always comes through. Oftentimes used as the sensible brave friend even when with older and more experienced horses.

Goes bitless or in a rubber snaffle. Rides beautifully in either set up and is responsive and safe.

Has never offered any buck, bolt or rear even when first being started under saddle.

Lightly started over fences. Going walk/ trot/ canter well.

Forward ride but responsive to half halts.

He would make a great pony for a small adult or a competent child who wants an amazing all around horse that they can literally do ANYTHING with.

Great with other horses, lives out full time in a herd. He is not available to any homes who intend to isolate him from other horses completely and will only be available to homes who will offer him adequate turnout and socialization because these are basic needs for an equine.
