Cambodia passes law penalizing vote boycotters

Cambodia’s parliament on Friday (June 23) unanimously approved a law amendment that mandates citizens to participate in voting and discourages them from boycotting the upcoming election. Human Rights Watch's Phil Robertson said the move shows "a dictatorship that is playing the democracy game".
