We assume we all know who a great leader is, what leadership is, and what leadership means.

One thing I found fascinating from the 140 CEOs I interviewed for my book is that they each defined leadership differently.

What I uncovered from interviewing these CEOs is that while some core things will remain the same, like being able to create a vision and execute in a strategic direction, we’ll also need a new set of skills and mindsets.

Why? Because our organizations are being disrupted by change.

Technology, pace of change, automation, AI, purpose, meaning and impact, transparency, authentic leadership, the very nature of talent and what it looks like, what they expect--all these things are changing and driving our organizations to need a new type of leader who can take on the challenge and guide us forward.
