A Disney Patent: US2023106344A1 that was published this year reveals NFT marketplace mechanics and historical data system that would make it easier for users or businesses to search a NFTs history in one query in a decentralized manner without having to worry about 3rd party aggregators. It also eludes to rewarding early adopters and users to incentivize secondary marketplace sales. This ensures a fluid ecosystem that rewards all parties involved like the buyer, seller, IP owner and market maker.
