Im embarrassed to say that, for years, I have been using the plastic lid from a plastic compartmentalized plate to cover my food in the microwave!
Im not sure why I finally decided to purchase something specifically designed for use in the microwave, but Im so glad I did! This is fantastic and super easy to clean after use.
I just rinse it off, shake it out, and set it upside down inside the microwave to dry. That way its always available for me to use.
