On Thursday, House Republicans made public the testimony of two IRS whistleblowers who claim that the Department of Justice (DOJ) obstructed their years-long investigation into Hunter Biden, President Joe Biden’s son.

The DOJ quickly refuted the accusation.

The House Ways and Means Committee, chaired by Republican Representative Jason Smith, voted to disclose the congressional testimony provided by two former IRS agents who were involved in the federal probe into Hunter Biden’s taxes and foreign business activities.

Smith, a representative from Missouri, stated to reporters, “Whistleblowers describe how the Biden Justice Department intervened and overstepped in a campaign to protect the son of Joe Biden by delaying, divulging, and denying an ongoing investigation into Hunter Biden’s alleged tax crimes.”

According to the testimony of Greg Shapley and an unidentified IRS agent, they outlined what they perceived as a pattern of deliberately slowing down investigative processes and postponing enforcement actions, particularly leading up to elections, as reported by the Associated Press.
