Biden and Modi cheer booming economic ties in visit

During a state visit, President Joe Biden emphasized the strength of the U.S.-India relationship on Thursday and announced new business agreements with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

However, human rights activists and American lawmakers expressed concerns about honoring Modi with such a grand reception, the Associated Press reported.

In a joint news conference with Modi, President Biden described the bond between the United States and India as one of the most significant in the world and highlighted its current dynamism, stating that it had reached unprecedented levels.
