Nevertheless, a turning point occurred during the pandemic, where China was perceived as a major threat, leading the US to adopt a more aggressive approach.

The response took the form of a trade war initiated by former President Trump in 2016, along with efforts to strain China's relationships with its neighbors. Divisive tactics, including supporting protests in Hong Kong and stirring tensions around Taiwan, were employed. The US pursued its strategy of dividing and conquering, attempting to fracture China through various means.

More recently, the US response has taken a concerning turn, with indications of a warpath. There are mounting concerns that the United States is on a trajectory toward a physical confrontation with China by the end of this decade. Military commanders have expressed their intentions, and rhetoric has become increasingly violent. China, in turn, has responded directly, explicitly addressing the United States as a hostile power.

This evolving dynamic between the two superpowers has far-reaching implications, with serious potential consequences. It is essential to recognize the gravity of the situation and the implications of an outright war between nuclear powers.
