SpaceX launches 47 Starlink satellites, lands rocket at sea

In the early hours of Thursday morning, SpaceX accomplished yet another successful launch of a substantial batch of Starlink internet satellites, while also achieving a precision landing of the returning rocket on a sea-based platform.

At 3:19 a.m. EDT (0719 GMT; 12:19 a.m. local time), a Falcon 9 rocket took off from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California. The rocket was carrying 47 Starlink spacecraft destined for deployment in orbit.

Approximately eight minutes and 45 seconds after liftoff, the first stage of the Falcon 9 executed a planned return to Earth, Space reported.
