When Heidi was a Regent at the University of Colorado, one of the problems she was most concerned about was the attack on free speech. How can we ever achieve academic freedom - or freedom as is - if there is no diversity of thought or tolerance for opposing views? She founded the ⁠Free to Be Coalition⁠ as an effort to promote healthy, respectful debate on University campuses — a project she's extremely proud of, hosting big names on both sides of the aisle to demonstrate productive debate to students across the country.

One of those big names was Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. — one of the ONLY liberals who would come to the debate at CU Boulder. He was kind, intelligent, and such a great example of how to debate productively. Too bad Hotez won’t debate him on his vaccine stance...
