Off-Duty Minneapolis Officer Fires Gun During "Person-in-Crisis" Incident

However, after negotiations, the individual eventually left the home unarmed and was taken into custody at 1:20 p.m.

Given the discharge of a firearm by the off-duty officer, Police Chief Brian O'Hara has requested the BCA to conduct an investigation, as is standard protocol for use-of-force incidents.
