NORAD Intercepts 4 Russian Aircraft Operating Off The Coast Of Alaska
nor ad detected, tracked, positively identified, and intercepted four Russian aircraft entering and operating within the Alaska Air Defense Identification Zone (ADIZ) on Feb. 13, 2023.
They said this Russian flight activity is not related to recent nor ad operations associated with airborne objects over North America during the last two weeks.
The Russian aircraft included TU-95 bear H and S. U. 35 fighter aircraft.
TwoNORAD F-16 fighters intercepted the Russian aircraft.
Supporting NORAD aircraft included two F-35 A. fighters, one E-3 Sentry (aywacs) and two KC-135 Stratotankers.
"We remain ready to employ a number of response options in defense of North America and Arctic sovereignty."
