Why the House Censured Adam Schiff

Rep. Adam Schiff spun quite a yarn about President Donald Trump’s supposed collusion with Russia. Now those tall Trump tales are coming back to haunt him. He should’ve been held in contempt a long time ago, but finally, Congress is censuring Schiff for his lies.
It’s about time. Now Rep. Schiff will face an ethics investigation. But don’t expect Schiff to face any serious consequences. We fear nothing will really happen to Schiff. His cronies in the Deep State will make sure this amounts to little more than a slap on the wrist, if that. As it is, when the censure passed, House Dems chanted “shame” at House Speaker McCarthy. The Deep State hates Trump so much that they ride or die for Schiff.
But we would remind them how Schiff claimed he had solid evidence against President Trump and touted the now discredited Steele Dossier as his proof. And then, as we told you, he dug in his heels, even after the infamous dossier was exposed as a farce:
“Adam Schiff has appeared on national television to defend his claims regarding the infamous Steele Dossier, despite the fact it has proven to be false. Instead of allowing law enforcement to take and dissect it, he tried to get ahead of it and told the press that he had the information that the Trump campaign colluded with Russia. He acted like he had a smoking gun, but it was false all along. And even now, he shows no regrets.”
Schiff also presented an entirely fictional account of Trump colluding with Russia on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives, and then pretended it was real. It was only after he was blasted for this blatant attempt to deceive the country that Schiff shrugged it off as merely a parody.
Censuring Schiff is the right thing to do, but we hope that the House follows through and actually holds him accountable for his truly deplorable behavior.
Today’s full Sekulow broadcast includes more analysis of the House vote to censure Adam Schiff and what will be the likely fallout. We’re also joined by Sekulow advisor and former Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard to discuss the threat of China’s new military training facility in Cuba, just 90 miles from the United States.
