Building Garden Steps on a 20 Degree Slope - Part 3

This video series covers how to build garden steps on a slope.
I have a gravel pathway along the back of my property, the ground slopes up to that path and in the winter when the ground is muddy, it's hard to get up there without slipping.

So I wanted to install a series of steps to make it easier.

Part 1 covers measuring and calculating how many steps are needed as well as reviewing the materials used for the project.
Part 2 covers cutting the risers and treating the ends of the wood with preservative. After that I show how I cut the salvaged 1/2" rebar to use to anchor the risers to the ground.
Part 3 covers installing the risers including gravel behind each riser to assist with drainage.
Part 4 covers cutting the facia boards for the steps, ripping them on my table saw. I couldn't use the full fence board width on the front of the steps; it would have been too tall and I didn't want to sink the facia board into the soil and encourage rotting.
Part 5 covers installing the redwood facia & tread, staining and adding mulch to complete the project.
