According to Special Forces battle film from Afghanistan, an American team leader is pleading with his Afghan National Army counterpart to engage the enemy with machine guns as part of a wider operation that is taking place all around them.

The belt-fed weapon is fired aimlessly into the air by the Afghan commando, demonstrating his incapacity. Although it is the SF advisor's responsibility to persuade these buffoons to perform the task for themselves, the demand for precise suppressing shots that hit their intended targets exceeds the training opportunity.

The camera pans to a different scene where the special forces soldier is now in command of the light machine gun and is firing a burst of 6 to 9 well-aimed rounds towards what appears to be an enemy position. Perhaps more ammunition cans have been sent for the Afghan commando to feed
