#RyanIbsen Predicts Stoppage Win at #BKFC44

Ryan Ibsen halted Dakota Highpine between the second and third rounds of their BKFC 44 clash.

Both men had to get stitches after the fight, but the latter was deemed worse off by the event physicians which lead to the contest ending.

Ibsen, the hometown combatant, had competed in this same venue before, but he said this time felt different with the huge crowd presence and magnitude of the moment.

When giving the walk-through of how the bout played out, Ibsen said,

“I actually was joking around with my coach. I was like, I think we’re going to stop in the second round. One of us is going to drop. Just the way he fights is, you know, he throws. He’s not like trying to point you. He’s trying to punch through you. I’m trying to punch through you.”

“You know, I thought it was going to be a stoppage. I didn’t expect a medical stoppage because I saw how much fight he had left in him. But I expected a stoppage - just not from how it ended, I guess.”

Ibsen, aka ‘Skinny’ or ‘The Electric City Strangler,’ seemed elated about the positive effect the market of Great Falls has become for the company, for the fighting spirit of Montana fighters, and for contributing to the growth of the sport overall.

Ibsen has had eleven amateur mixed martial arts contests, and he fought UFC star Sean O’Malley a pair of times before transitioning to this new sport.

Ibsen is eyeing a fight with Howard Davis, but the BKFC debutant does understand he may need to work his way up the ranks a bit more. He doesn’t want to come off as “an arrogant pric,k” but Ibsen does certainly have broader aspirations for what he wants to do as a 145-pounder in Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship.
