Ask Me How America Can Fulfill Its Promise to You

Ask me how America can help you. I will prove to you that our country can become the place of prosperity, equality and pride that it was meant to be.

America is like a sick person whose health is ever so slowly declining. The most reliable indication that a person is sick is how they feel. In the same way, we can feel that our country is not well and only getting worse. It is this feeling that motivates us to find a cure. Our nation is facing a crisis, and this crisis involves the very fiber that holds us together. It is an economic crisis for sure, with inflation, high interest rates, high levels of debt, and vast wealth and income inequality. But an economic crisis is always accompanied by moral and ethical degradation as well. We have become a nation that is divided, angry, bitter, and self-serving. One needs to look no further than our leadership for proof. Far too many are no longer proud of our great nation. Sure, there are a few that are doing exceedingly well and they will say that everything is fine, but that too is further evidence of the great disparities that exist. The system of government that was established when our nation was born was a good one, but over time that system has become distorted and corrupt. Our government is supposed to do only one thing – work for the good of the people, but it has become dysfunctional and is failing to do so. But there is hope.

Many thanks to Lee Greenwood and YouTube channel Duke of Canada for their rendition of The Star-Spangled Banner.
