Rep. Lieu calls Durham hearing 'wasteful' during press conference

During a House Democrat press conference Wednesday, Representative Ted Lieu (D-CA) criticized Republicans in the House Judiciary Committee for hosting a “wasteful hearing” on Special Counsel John Durham’s report of the FBI’s investigation into former President Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign. Rep. Lieu said Durham’s report “essentially found that the FBI, in fact, had enough information to open a preliminary investigation into the Trump campaign”, despite the special counsel’s 300-plus page report declaring the FBI had no verified intelligence or evidence to open a probe into Trump’s campaign.
